Frequently Asked Questions
Here we offer an experience you won't find anywhere else. We are a cat-only boarding service. Space is limited, which means fewer cats and more personalized care. Your cat is monitored 24/7 at our home-based facility. We give updates on your cat(s) as well as offer all our guests private play times and Catio access.
Our prices vary depending on the enclosure you choose and the length of reservation. Check out our Boarding page for more details on pricing.
As a home-based business, our privacy is important to us. We would like to avoid unnecessary traffic in our area. Prospective clients will receive the address upon a tour request and/or reservation.
Cats must be up to date on their core vaccines: rabies and FVRCP (herpes/distemper/upper respiratory). You or your veterinarian may email us the required proof of up-to-date vaccination. You may also bring it in person.
Note: Research is showing that pets are being over vaccinated. To avoid re-vaccinating your pet for FVRCP, proof of sufficient antibodies via titer test will suffice. By law, rabies must always be up-to-date.
It is recommended that your cat be at least 6 months old before boarding so they have a more developed immune system. Kittens are more susceptible to certain illnesses such as distemper/upper respiratory viruses.
Kittens under 12 weeks will not be accepted. This is due to a number of factors:
Underdeveloped immune systems
Too young for flea prevention
Too small to safely enjoy enclosure and playroom
We accept cash, debit or credit. There is a 3% processing fee for card payments.
Check-out is 11 AM. Pick-ups after this time will result in surcharge of $30.
We are open Monday-Friday (9-5) and Saturday/Sunday (10-3).
Please call or email us to make a reservation or check for availability. Feel free to request a tour before-hand. Must pay in full to secure reservation.
You must fill out the required forms (can be found under "Documents" tab) as well as send in proof of required vaccinations. You may send an image of the completed Intake form, Admission Questionnaire and vaccination proof to our email or bring them in person. You may also fill out the forms in-office. If the proper paperwork is not provided by time of service or if your cat doesn't pass inspection (fleas, signs of illness, etc.), your reservation will be cancelled.
*See Cancellation Policy on our Forms page for more details*
All clients at Kitty Corner can request updates on their cat(s) while they're away, no extra charge. Updates will be sent to a preferred email. Requests for updates can be made on our Admission Questionnaire.
Yes. All guests at Kitty Corner get 2 hours of private playtime in our Playroom (if they desire). Private means only cats from the same household are let out at one time.
The Playroom leads to a Catio where, if the weather permits, cats can safely enjoy the outdoors.
Yes. Cats from the same household can stay together. In fact, keeping them together saves you money. Sharing an enclosure gets you a discounted rate (check out Boarding page for more details). Up to three cats are allowed in the Large Condo and up to two cats in the Medium.
For the sake of cleanliness and space, we ask that you don't bring bedding. However, feel free to bring a comfort toy or something small with a familiar scent to help comfort them while you're away. All guests at Kitty Corner will be provided comfortable bedding along with some calming pheromones and plenty of toys at playtime.
Yes. Please do. Cats are finicky and do best sticking to a familiar diet. They are more likely to get sick or refuse to eat if the food is suddenly changed. If you don't provide the food, there is a $2 charge per day for in-house feeding.
You will be asked for feeding details on the Admission form. All cats are fed twice daily. Mid-day snacks and treats are only offered with the Pamper Package.
Oral medications ONLY. Medications and supplements must be in their original container with the printed label. There is a $2 charge per administration.
There is no veterinarian on site. Clients must leave their veterinarian info upon check-in as well as sign a consent form granting permission to seek veterinary care if necessary while you're away. The owner will be notified in the event there is a medical concern. If a situation is deemed urgent, the cat will be taken to the nearest emergency hospital.
Note that many animal treatment facilities have policies that prevent them from treating the pet without the owner's verbal consent.
You can check out our policies on our Documents page.
